Why get custom fitted? To improve your game!
THE FACTS:
No two golfers are the same – no one is a ‘standard fit'
Every golfer has an individual golf swing
ALL tour professionals use customised clubs
Custom fitted clubs will improve distance, accuracy, feel, control and enjoyment of the game and more importantly lower your score. Golf is difficult enough - golfers should adjust their clubs to suit their swing, not their swing to suit the clubs
Golf is a hard game - don't make it harder by using ill-fitted 'off the shelf' equipment
What do I customise? Everything!
Custom-Golf.co.uk takes all customer vital statistics, allowing customisation of every part of the golf club to suit you and your game. Advice is also given on the best head options for you, whether it be wide sole offset cavity heads or forged blades or even hybrid combo sets through demonstration interchangeable heads and shafts.
Below are some of the factors that affect the way you play and what we do to improve your game:
Shaft Flex & Kick Point
SHAFT FLEX
The shaft is considered by some to be the 'engine' of the golf club. To achieve optimum distance and accuracy, the shaft flex must be matched to the player's swing and club head speed.
A shaft that is too stiff cannot achieve the player's optimum launch angle, producing a low left to right trajectory, lack of distance and poor feel.
A shaft that is too flexible will produce more variable distance and a loss of accuracy and control.
Don't assume that all shaft ratings are the same. For example a True Temper XL-90 Regular shaft has the same Recommended Swing Speed Range (RSSR) as a True Temper Gold Lite stiff shaft.
SHAFT KICK POINT
All shafts are rated not just by their flexibility and speed range, but also by their flex points.
If you have a problem getting the ball airborne your club head is matched with a shaft with a lower kick point to help you achieve a higher ball flight. Alternatively a stronger player may want a driver matched to a shaft allowing a lower, more penetrating flight
Shaft Length & Lie Angle
SHAFT LENGTH
Matching the club length to your height and finger tip to floor measurement will allow the to correct fit for the player to achieve more sweet spot strikes. The correct club length will allow the player to swing naturally for better feel and consistency.
LIE ANGLE
Along with shaft length, the lie angle of the club head should be checked and altered. The lie angle of the club is crucial to accuracy.
A club too upright will normally produce shots to the left
A club too flat will product shots to the right
