Fitting processThe fitting program has been developed from tried and proven methods pioneered by the best club fitters in the US and advanced training received in Europe. Golf is a moving or dynamic game, not a static game. Dynamic fitting not only understands that we are all physically different, but also accepts our golf swings are unique to us. It can take two to three hours and will be both eye opening and informative with guaranteed results.

The main vehicles used int the fitting process are the Accusport Vector Pro Launch Monitor and Club Connex Connectors.

The Vector Pro

Vector ProThe Vector Pro is one of the most precise instruments in ball launch technology and is recognized for its accuracy. It is used by all the major manufacturers such as Mizuno, PING, Wilson, Titleist and Callaway.

The Vector Pro provides a running average of all of the individual Shot Scores and is a quick reference for club and swing comparison.

The Vector Pro allows you to track different clubs and plot average performance. The Database stores club and ball information by customer for easy reference in future fitting sessions.

The Vector Pro determines how best to improve distance through “What if modeling”. Customers can now see the effects of changing shot characteristics such as launch angle and spin.

The Vector Pro indicates the club angle of attack making it easy to suggest swing or Equipment changes.

The Vector Pro can be used for drivers, irons, rescue clubs, woods and hybrids

The Vector Pro measures launch angle and ball speed.

Club Conex Connectors

Club ConnexClub Conex Connectors are utilized to allow shafts and club heads to be interchanged so allowing a vast array of options for testing. In this way one head may be connected with many shafts, many heads with one shaft; or many heads with many shafts. Personal assessment potentially using 150 different head/shaft options for precise custom fitting will be recorded through the Vector Pro Launch Monitor.

When a club is built or adjusted, all components are weighed and checked prior to assembly. Any components not meeting tolerances are rejected. All the variables during the building or adjusting process are double-checked. Golf clubs are built/rebuilt to a higher standard than the clubs that come off the assembly lines of the big name brands. In my research one major manufacturer cannot put putter grips on squarely even using laser technology and another cannot put any iron grip on straight.

Putter Fitting

This is a much missed but important aspect. 20% of a putt is down to correct set up and swinging straight on the swing path, 30 % is down to speed, pace and resistance. That leaves 50% of this is down to correct equipment which funnily enough directly affects the other 50%. Want to sort that 50% out to help the other 50% out? Some of putter fitting is done with your eyes closed – want to find out why?

Lessons

I don't give lessons but if the fitting session highlights a need for coaching I will recommend them. It's important to understand, fitting out a golfer with the right golf clubs for their needs is not a cure all. For example, if a golfer has a tendency to hit a violent hook off every other tee, then he/she has a swing problem and needs a good coach

I'll come to you

Although many of our clients travel some distance to see me, there are a growing number of busy golfers who prefer that I come to them and providing there is a nearby driving range or practice facility it presents no problem.
